I was born in the city of Katerini in Greece, at the foot of world famous Mt. Olympus.
I graduated with the degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and I obtained my Ph.D. from Cardiff University (UK). I have been a postdoctoral researcher at the Czech Academy of Sciences, University College London, Max-Planck-Institut for Extraterrestrial Physics, University of Florida, University of Virginia and University of Cologne.
I am the co-founder of the Olympian Centre for Astrophysics and the main organizer of the Olympian Symposium international conferences. I organize various outreach activities in Greece for different audiences including school children and the general public.
