The Olympian Symposium

The Olympian Symposium is a series of international conferences focussing on astrophysics, cosmology and space sciences.

In 2014, I organized the first Olympian Symposium conference in Paralia Katerini, Pieria, Greece. Since then, I have been heavily involved in the organization of three Olympian Symposia and one Summer School. Those meetings have brought to the district town of Paralia Katerini more than 450 participants coming from 33 countries and 75 world leading institutions. The financial income volume exceeded 400,000 Euros.

The Olympian Symposium series of conferences have been sponsored by the ISM-SPP of the German Science Foundation (DFG), Royal Astronomical Society, University College London, the Chalmers Initiative on Cosmic Origins, Hitachi, and the Municipality of Katerini. The Olympian Symposium 2018 was organized under the auspices of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO and the auspices of the Section of Astronomy, Astrophysics and Celestial Mechanics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
